Benjamin Franklin is Taking a Trip ...

Saving Liberty, by Roger Gillespie

The history books note that Benjamin Franklin officially left his residence at

36 Craven Street, London, in 1775

What they do not mention is his departure coincides with his secret mission to Williamsburg, Virginia. Unknown even to the King of England, Ben is on a mission to prevent a multi-assassination plot against the founding fathers. With the help of his fellow Freemasons, they devise a plan. But Ben’s undertaking is stalled when he encounters an otherworldly anomaly that sends him to a parallel, but also future, universe. There, he finds that his mission not only failed, but that failure puts him at odds with at least one individual.

Threatened by Ben’s presence, this individual will lose money, power and elite status if Ben changes his history.

Microwaves, televisions, cars, and a trip to a vast international theme park only add to Ben’s confusion and amazement! Fortunately, he is, or was, an inventor in his time and instead of fear, he is elated the world has become more technologically advanced than even he imagined!

Cautiously, a graduate history student from the College of William & Mary welcomes Ben to his new timeline. She tells him stories that alert him to the peril his presence may cause.

He discovers that the history books of that timeline shockingly call him …

Benjamin Franklin, “Traitor”

There is also the slight issue that Ben’s native country has a new name …

The United States of Britain
